Literature Text

I didn’t mind you looking,
Touching, holding
As long as I knew
You would come back to me

The cold knife of jealousy
Did stab my screaming heart
You never knew.
I didn’t want you to

You never saw what I saw
You never felt what I felt
On that final day

It haunted me for days
That stab
Her knife, ramming into my crying heart
I thought it may be
The final blow

How I needed you then
I screamed for you
I yelled for you
I whispered, with all my heart
I bled for you

1000 wounds
1 knife
1 hand
1 heart

It was the hand that
Dealt the final blow
Knocking me from
My pedestal

My heart crumbled
My body fell
My mind flew
My eyes watched

They watched my body,
As it tumbled down
They saw the sickening
Mess of tangled limbs

I felt the dull thud
As my head hit the ground
My heart hurt no longer,
As the vibrations shook through
my tortured soul

They still watched.
That body, that tangled mess,
Began to bleed.
It bled the riches, darkest
Blood those eyes will ever see

Wasted blood
A wasted love
A wasted life

My heart went cold
My body bled
My mind came down
The eyes still watched.
It was done
The end was near,
Yet every end starts
Another beginning

That day something was born
An understanding
Of sadness
Of pain
Of love

Something was born
A girl with a gentle sadness
And a painful love

You see me everyday
I stand by you side
Look at me, see my eyes?
They are hurt
They have seen so much,
They have seen too much

My eyes see only sadness,
They see only pain.
They see only you.

I just went through a break up like that. I can really feel and understand the pain and emotion that is in the poem .
